Ras Al Khaimah launches new Golden Visa programme for educators
Eligibility Criteria and Application Process: Here’s everything you need to know
Ras Al Khaimah’s Department of Knowledge (RAK DOK) has introduced a Golden Visa programme for top educators within its private school sector.
The initiative aims to grant long-term residency in the UAE to dedicated school principals, teachers and leaders, enabling them to self-sponsor.
This programme seeks to attract and retain high-calibre educators in Ras Al Khaimah, reinforcing the Emirate's commitment to educational excellence.
“This initiative recognises the critical role that educators play in improving the quality of education for all students in Ras Al Khaimah,” Dr. Abdulrahman Al Naqbi, RAK DOK Board Member, said while emphasising the programme’s importance. “By qualifying top educators for long-term residency, we reaffirm our dedication to nurturing a robust educational environment that fosters talent and innovation,” he added.
Eligibility Criteria
The programme welcomes applications from two main groups within private education:
- School Leaders: Including principals, vice-principals, and school directors.
- Teachers: All qualified educators currently holding positions in Ras Al Khaimah’s private schools.
Eligible applicants must have at least three years of residency and employment in Ras Al Khaimah, hold an advanced degree in a relevant field, and demonstrate a positive impact on their school’s performance.
How to Apply
RAK DOK, as the regulatory authority for private education in Ras Al Khaimah, has set up a streamlined application process to qualify candidates. Applicants need to provide:
- Official appointment letter
- Proof of educational qualifications
- Documentation of residency and employment
- Evidence of contributions to school performance
This documentation will help ensure applicants meet the established criteria for the Golden Visa programme.
Application Process
Upon submission of required documents, RAK DOK will assess applications and notify successful candidates. Approved educators will then proceed to the UAE Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICP) for Golden Visa processing.
